About the game
Short version. Boomstick City is a free, post-apocalyptic 1v1 card game that plays in your browser. Pick a crew, fight for the streets, race to 15.
The pitch. Boomstick City is a free-to-play competitive card game set in a city bolted together from a hundred ruins. Two crews fight over one shared board, playing Survivors, Gear, and Events to take ground and race to 15 Territory Points. There is no hero health bar to whittle down, so it plays like a sprint rather than a siege. It opens in any browser with no download, hands you all four factions free, and settles most matches in around eight turns. Clear the enemy board and their Stash opens for extra points; run out of cards and you start bleeding a point a turn, so sitting back and stalling loses. The whole design pushes you forward.
Key features
Free, and it opens in a tab
No download, no launcher, no app store. It runs in any modern browser on desktop or a phone held sideways, and you can add it to your home screen.
A different kind of card game
There is no hero health bar to grind down. Both crews fight over one shared board for Territory Points, and the first to 15 wins. It is a race for the streets, not a war of attrition.
Matches are a sprint
Most games end in around eight turns. You spend Volts, play Survivors, Gear, and Events, win fights to take ground, and raid the enemy Stash when their board is clear.
Four free crews, four ways to win
Scrapwright grinds and salvages, Powderkeg dies on purpose for the payoff, Hearth floods the board and heals, and Glow spreads Radiation and feeds on the rot. All four are yours from day one.
Not pay to win, on purpose
The four starter decks are complete and competitive. Packs add variety and cosmetics change how things look, but neither is the price of a win.
